The clinging and clanking of ice echoed around the harbour as ice crashed against ice, a mighty blizzard raging on the shores of Unity Lighthouse. Huge chunks of hail rammed into the sand like meteorites, sending up waves of sand like tidal waves. Nevertheless, an adept fighter nimbly manoeuvred around the waves of sand, chunks of ice surrounding and protecting her from any incoming hail as the situation continued to worsen. The source of the blizzard was nearly straight ahead- the light-footed Pokemon could leap in for an attack-- Geist, no! A ball of purple flew forwards towards the mighty blizzard—brewing ape Augustus, a black energy swirling around the Sableye's left hand as he went in for a well-aimed Shadow Claw.

The attack was to no avail however, for as soon as Geist neared the Slaking, a great geyser of water erupted from behind Augustus, a tide of water knocking the Sableye out of the air and into a pile of sand, which was quickly formed into a vat of mud. The source of the water blast made itself known seconds later as a hardy-looking Mantine hovered up from behind the cover of the gorilla-like pokemon. Mere moments after coming out into the open, the sting ray-like pokemon was bombarded by a slew of faint attacks. Smashing into the sandy ground, Coco struggled to upright again as the Umbreon, Cross, came slamming down on the beached pokemon, paws encased with dagger-shaped ice.

Coco cried out, her mouth beginning to glow as she groaned. Cross' eyes widened and she braced her back legs to jump away from the squirming pokemon when a Hyper Beam erupted from Coco's mouth, the Umbreon shrieking as it flew upwards, crashing elsewhere on the beach as the Mantine used the time she'd made for herself to try to hover upright- however her attempts where short-lived as a mud-covered and frankly extremely annoyed Sableye leaped on her from behind, having used Shadow Sneak to teleport via her own shadow. He thrashed her with Shadow Claw as they tumbled over the sand, hail pelting them as they went along. In a momentary bout of strength, Coco flung the muddy Geist off of her- and into the grubby hands of an extremely annoyed Augustus.

Having used Skill Swap previously with none other than Geist himself,  Augustus was quite nimble for a lumbering gorilla- so it was understandable how he didn't see the Hammer Arm coming at him moments after Augustus threw him into the air. There was a crack at the impact and the smaller Sableye went flying in the direction Cross had been flung not so long ago. A blast of sand flew up as Geist landed and it was looking like the team of Slaking and Mantine had this battle in the bag-  For now.

However, one impatient, dark-skinned loli in particular was already quite fed up with this whole ordeal and not to mention the bloody cold weather from Augustus' Blizzard. Groaning, she called out to her opponent whom she could not presently see through the weather condition.

"This is pointless! You're going to lose! Why are we even fucking having this battle, anyways?" Miss complained, going through her traditional lower-your-opponents-self-esteem method. It only seemed to annoy her unseen opponent, however.

"We wouldn't have had to battle if you didn't try my pokemon, you thief!" Rui called back, her brow furrowed as she searched the beach for her pokemon. She couldn't see them, but she knew they were there, plotting their next attack.

"STEAL YOUR POKEMON? WHY WOULD I EVEN- oh wait I guess I kind of did BUT GODDAMIT IT WASN'T ON PURPOSE JOBREEZY WAS TOO STUPID TO RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POKEBALLS AND VALUBALE, SHINY OBJECTS" Miss shouted back, grinding her teeth as she rubbed her arms to create warmth. Motherfuck, Augustus' blizzards are really fucking cold. She should've dressed warmer.

"WHY WOULD YOU WANT ABANDONED OBJECTS IN THE FIRST PLACE?" Rui snapped back, balling her hands into fists as she engaged in a shouting war with her opponent, who she currently could not see due to the weather conditions.

"MONEY, DUH" the dark loli shouted as if it was THE MOST OBVIOUS THING IN THE WORLD. Of course, they did say money makes the world go around, but Miss was already rich. Perhaps she could be kind of a bitch sometimes. Kind of... Maybe... NO, IT'S DEFINITLY IMPOSSIBLE, seeing as Miss sees herself as having a godly perfection. Although, thinking back, maybe the overconfident loli's intentions weren't so good...

Unity Lighthouse was bustling with people after the recent Kyogre attack. Rumors buzzed to and fro as the people did, murmurs and laughter fluttering back and forth as the day went by. Among the masses was one annoyingly bright haired girl, her intentions anything but good. They leaned more towards selfish and dumb, to be frank. However, those facts would not prevent Miss from doing what she intended, which was a dirty way of making more money. Why not, right?

Slipping a pokeball out of her makeshift obi-sash, Miss glanced around the beach warily. The crowd had thinned significantly, as it was nearly seven p.m, and not the most pleasant time to be hanging around a harbour. Water could get pretty frickin' cold, you know?  "Grab anything valuable or... shiny," Miss whispered against the pokeball before rolling it across the sand.

The ball burst open in a flash of red light and to the surprise of the people milling around, a disgruntled-looking Sableye appeared as the light faded.  He disappeared as quickly as he had appeared, sinking into the shadows of the people milling around. As he lept from shadow to shadow in the quest of all things shiny, Miss went to retrieve JoBreezy's pokeball when a rather loud shout broke her thought train.

"Wha—THIEF!"

Miss whipped around just in time to see JoBreezy dashing madly towards her with a sombrely dressed trainer in pursuit. It was pretty obvious why, seeing as it seemed that JoBreezy was being his useless self again and instead of recovering something shiny and valuable, he pick-pocketed some useless trainers pokeball, which was now clenched between his teeth.

"JOBREEZY YOU GIANT PIECE OF SHI—OOF"

Miss was cut off mid-sentence as the Sableye barrelled into her chest, pushing both him and his trainer to the sandy ground. Cursing, she shoved the idiotic pokemon off of herself and began to pull herself to her feet when she noticed an extremely irked looking trainer looming above her.

"Just what do you think you're doing?"

"Uh, trying to recover from a rabid pokemon attack?" Miss suggested weakly as JoBreezy hid behind her, doing a horrible job of being inconspicuous. This ruse was not about to fool the woman though and Miss could tell by that sceptical look of hers that she knew Jo wasn't just a random pokemon.

"That's your pokemon, isn't it?"

"Uh, well...." Miss stumbled over her words, her eyes darting around for an escape route but it seemed there was none at this present moment. "...Yeah. Got a problem with that, bitch?" She spat, recovering with what she thought was a strong comeback from her previous word fumbling.

"Of course I have a problem with that. Your Sableye absconded with my pokemon, no doubt under your instruction", the trainer accused, her arms folded tightly over her chest.

Miss wanted to reply back with something snarky and intelligent, but she just didn't get this girl. Was she making up words? "What the hell is an 'absond'? Are you making up fucking words to sound smart? It just makes you sound dumb, don'cha know?"

" 'Abscond'. To leave quickly and secretly and hide oneself, often to avoid arrest or prosecution. It's is a legitimate word. Which means it 'exists', if you don't understand that either",  The woman stated as she twirled her hair.  "Now if you don't mind, could I have my pokeball—"

Miss could hear the blood rushing through her ears as this trainer who she believed she dwarfed in importance even though they had only just met, had insulted her, or at least that was how Miss chose to take it. How dare she. HOW DARE SHE! In the heat of the moment, Miss leapt from her sitting position on the sand and grabbed the collar of the unsuspecting trainer as she was trying to peacefully negotiate a way to get her pokemon back.

"HOW DARE YOU FUCKING INSULT ME. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I DWARF A SMALL, USELESS, UNIMPORTANT PERSON LIKE YOU A THOUSAND TIMES OVER? DID NO ONE TEACH YOU NOT TO INSULT YOUR SUPERIORS? WELL? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF, HUH?" Miss prattled on loudly in a bout of madness, shaking the disgruntled trainer slightly as she ranted on. However, the dark skinned woman had not taken into account that the trainer could easily escape- Miss wasn't a very strong force to reckon with without her pokemon, it seemed.

Shoving the madwoman away from her, the woman took a few shaky steps back, dusting herself off. "This is unacceptable! You're a loudmouthed thief with intelligence akin to that of a common household bug pokemon. Since you will not simply admit your mistake and give me back my pokemon, I challenge you to a battle! Let our pokemon the fighting since words make no dent on you!"

"YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME? YEAH? I'LL PUMMEL YOU INTO THE GROUND AND BEAT YOU WITH YOUR OWN GODAMMN POKEMON, DO YOU HEAR ME? AUGUSTUS AND COCO, BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!"

"Cross! Geist! Bring them down so we may retrieve Shaira!"

...Well. Thinking back now, maybe it was her fault for this whole ordeal. But this bitch was not getting away so easily for insulting her! She was going down! If her pokemon weren't already knocked out, that is. Right now both Rui and Miss were rather curious to the location of Cross and Geist...

As Augustus kept a constant exhalation of ice going, Coco circled the massive ape, her face tensed up in annoyance which quickly shifted to surprise. Was that--? The Mantine had no time to finish her thought as a plethora of shining lights swirled about, her eyes trying to follow them but it was a feat that seemed impossible. Being distracted as she was, she didn't notice the attack coming at her from above, and had no time to react when Cross landed on her, her paws glowing as her weight forced Coco to the ground, where the Mantine fainted.

Leaping off of the fainted pokemon, Cross dropped to a crouch as a blur of purple propelled itself into the sky from her back, aimed at the shambling Slaking. Although he was faster than usual, Augustus only had time to cease spewing a blizzard when Geist landed on him, barraging him with shadow claw after shadow claw.  However, now that Augustus had a good grasp on the situation, he realized that this was NOT ACCEPTABLE. He should be napping right now, arceusdamnit! It was time to finish this.

The Slaking let out a mighty roar, picking up the annoying Sableye by his scarf and giving him a mighty focus punch in his tiny little face. The impact from such a powerful and close-contact blow sent Geist soaring into a hill of sand and ice, leaving him KO'd. In the time Augustus needed to recover, a miffed Cross leapt at him, clawing his face with faint attack before dropping back to the grounf and using confuse ray. Ethereal balls of light whirled around Augustus' face. In his confusion, he began punching himself again and again, attacks meant to hit the shiny Umbreon.

Satisfied that Augustus was pre-occupied, Cross sat patiently as she soaked in energy from the almost-risen moon using Moonlight. Sadly, not all confusions last for extremely lengthy period of time. One more punch in his own face snapped Augustus out of his own confusion and he preceded to charge towards Cross and rather than using an attack, the Slaking punted the unaware Umbreon into a nearby block of frozen sand and proceeded to pelt her with one last blizzard attack- that was all he needed.

Cross sank to the sandy ground, knocked out, as Augustus pounded on his chest, bellowing a victory cry. "Well!" Miss called, crossing the battle clearing to where Augustus stood. JoBreezy clung to her shoulder as she maneuvered around the ape to return Coco to her pokeball. "Who showed who, huh?"

Rui went through the same motions of returning her pokemon to their balls, a scowl on her face. She really did not want to have to put up with this loud-mouthed lady any longer. She'd very much appreciate to just get her ball back and leave. Of course she couldn't leave without the ball. Shaira was in there. "You won. Congratulations, this has not raised your intelligence level one bit. May I have my pokemon back now?"

Scowling, Miss returned Augustus to his pokeball. "You know what? No. No, you can't have it back" Miss jibed, cackling as she turned to walk away. However, JoBreezy was no longer clinging to her back. Instead, he cautiously approached Rui, dropping the pokeball by her feet before dashing off after Miss. Maybe she did have a sliver of kindness in her heart. Or maybe she just forgot to be mean.

Regardless, Rui was content to have her friend back and rather disgruntled at the thought of ever having to see this 'Miss' again. She'd prefer if such a meeting would never happen again, that was sure. Unless of course, their next meeting involved her defeating Miss in battle. That'd teach that loud-mouth a thing or two....

Lol, yay for Rui using big words xD Interesting combination using Cross and Geist. They normally can't stand each other.

And you didn't butcher her that bad. She would have been PO'd indeed had Shaira been swiped, and I forgot to give you a link to her full profile anyway seeing that explains her personality a lot better. Don't know if you found that or not xD

Though I didn't realize you opted not to ask for that extension ;-; Last I knew you were, so I'm trying to scramble to finish my piece at the moment. I was working to sort out plans for moving my stuff to my mom's for most of the week, hurhur.

But this was a great and really fun read <3 I enjoyed it, hopefully I'll be able to get mine up in time. Good luck!
