Your name is XARAN TEYES and you’d prefer it if everyone left you alone.
You’re a green-blooded female seated nicely in the middle of the caste chart with a blood hue of 128. Even if you happen to be anti-social as fuck, you follow the caste system like any self-respecting troll. Anybody with a few cells in their thinkpan knows that if you disobey a highblood, you can pretty much fold your shit hole of a life up, shove it in an envelope and send it to the nearest hole in the ground, considering it’s pretty much a guarantee that’s where your body is going to show up fairly soon. You’d really rather not end up like that, so you make sure to kiss a gratuitous amount of highblood ass whenever available. If you were dead, you wouldn’t be able to continue pursuing your hobbies, anyways.
Said hobbies include, but are not limited to tending to plants and taxidermy. There’s nothing like a thrilling night of tending to flora and stuffing dead creatures (or the occasionally unfortunate lowblood), if you do say so yourself. And there’s never a shortage of either where your hive is situated. Your hive is part of a small colony of mid-bloods built into the mountain-side. The hives themselves were built fairly far apart from themselves, which id just to your tastes! You’d really rather not be forced into a ‘pleasant conversation’ with anyone living in your area, which is another reason you prefer to keep indoors. But, you don’t have to worry! You hardly have to go outside for anything anyways. Your lusus pretty much takes care of everything you need. You could lie on the ground all day and get by perfectly fine, despite the fact that it would be one unproductive existence.
Your lusus is pretty much the extent of company that you enjoy. Shocking as it may be, enjoy may even be an understatement. Your lusus is a pretty swell sack of feathers. She hunts for you, providing you with both food to shove down your digestive chute and creatures to stuff. Your hive is littered with stuffed creatures and trolls, and the numbers keep increasing as the number of things she brings home increases. It doesn’t bother you, really. The only troublesome thing is you often have to increase the amount of flora you grow in you hive to continue creating your preservative poultice—You wouldn’t want any of your ‘guests’ rotting on you. Having so many stuffed creatures in your hive, it… It almost makes you feel like you are some sort of seasoned socialite who is hosting a never-ending get together with your ever-growing group of ‘hip chums’.
Your psychic power helps you keep up this charade, actually. You can manipulate sound to "throw" your voice to a nearby location (up to about 20 paces away). It’s a pretty useless power, but it makes you feel a little less lonely on occasion. Is it really a surprise that you have no friends? Not that you want any, anyways. You tend to make people pretty uncomfortable. Mostly because you are half-blind, even with your glasses.
To fully register what a person looks like, you usually have to come quite an uncomfortable distance near their face. It’s usually not something that people enjoy, or so you’ve observed. For certain trolls (namely, highbloods) your lusus is your eyes so you don’t have to get too close to them. You’ve developed a ‘squawk system’ specifically for these situations. One squawk means no, two means yes. Obviously it can only be used for simple questions, but it’s fairly useful.
Your inability to see other trolls isn’t what keeps you away from them, however. Trolls that aren’t, well, dead, anyways. The live ones are just so argument-prone and just overall, such a pain to deal with! You’d rather just not deal with them and their differing opinions at all. Unless they happen to be highbloods, of course. Then you guess you can suck it up for awhile, but you’d really jut prefer to continue avoiding all interaction with other trolls. It’s been a pretty successful plan of action for the last seven sweeps, anyways, and you’re hoping it will continue to be just that.
